Mark is Rooster's newest member and brings so much versatile talent and energy.
He started out drumming and singing at age 11 playing Hendrix, The Monkees, The Who, Grand Funk, Steppenwolf, and other hits of the day.
At age 14, Mark picked up guitar and joined his first band with fellow high school students, playing high school and church dances throughout his school days.
He must have really loved it, since he has continued playing guitar and singing for the past 37 years, with occasional stints on drums (including timbales) and bass, with a little keyboards here and there. Some previous bands Mark has been involved with:
Grease Release (several versions, including 8 piece horn band)
Powderhouse Road Band
The Breaks
The T Birds
Fat Cat
Discovery
The Mudpuppies (founding member)
The Hurricanes
Splash (founding member)
Mark's Philosophy:
“It doesn't really matter what instrument I'm playing. My focus is making music, not simply playing my instrument. Fun is priority #1. If it's not fun, it's not music, it's another job. If the audience is having fun, it's a good gig.”
When you hear and see Mark onstage, you will agree that he is both a great musician and entertainer.
